According to Gordon Thompson III, Cole Haan’s Creative Director, the gorgeous brocade used in the Limited Edition Noella is from Tatsumura, a royal silk house in Japan. A legendary house, Tatsumura is even noted in the film “Memoirs of a Geisha.”
The boots’ high shaft, lace up front and fur trim all contribute to their head-turning presence. They also come in tweed/suede, black kidskin and zebra print versions. I never thought the words “Cole Haan” and “head turning” would go together. But it seems Mr. Thompson has spearheaded the company’s turnaround from staid to stunning.
