Don’t let the name fool you – LA-based Tied Up Clothing isn’t at all about tie dye, quite the opposite. Much of the clothing from designers Nikki Winston and Laura Bode has a casual elegance, like the short sleeve black Satin Jacket from the 2005 holiday collection. The jacket has sort of a retro feel with it’s cutaway styling and tabbed closure, and it is dazzling with the green corset and Satin Pencil Skirt, two other stunning blast-from-the-past styles making a comeback.

The sizes seem to run a bit small though, so go a size up. But I was very impressed with the company’s customer service. Apparently, a number of celebs are impressed as well. You may have seen Tied Up’s clothing on fashion forward types such as Jennifer Love Hewitt and Paris Hilton, who has worn it on The Simple Life. I’m so looking forward to wearing this outfit for the holidays. Find it at
