Much like Lelli Kelly shoes and those Kidz Bop CDs, which are also both advertised during my preschooler’s favorite shows, I’m left wondering one thing about these Zoo Pals plates: does anyone actually buy them?
I will admit they are a good idea. Enticing kids to clean their plates so they can see the animal’s face underneath is pretty clever, but is this really the most effective way to get our kids to eat? I was a picky eater, but my options as a child were pretty simple–eat the food on your plate or go hungry.
So while I commend the creativity, I have to say I don’t think it’s the best use of my hard-earned money to splurge on plates I’ll just have to throw out after each meal. Now if only that commercial wasn’t so darn catchy…
