With COVID-19 cases still on the rise in much of the U.S., I know most people probably aren’t thinking about traveling. But given that I’d been confined to the same 20 block radius in NYC for almost four months, I had to make my escape. And yes, that meant getting on a plane in the middle of a pandemic.

Of course, I took many precautions; masks, gloves and hand sanitizer were a given for my journey. But the unexpected hero of my trip? These Outdoor Voices 7/8 Springs Leggings.

I’m a pretty good flyer in that I’m not nervous or jittery, but I am also one of those passengers that needs to get up and walk around every once in a while. If I don’t, my feet and legs swell really badly to the point that it’s painful to get up and walk when it’s time to deplane. Of course, walking around a plane in these times isn’t really ideal since I’m trying to keep my bubble as small as possible.

That’s where these leggings came in so handy. When I first tried them on I was convinced I ordered the wrong size. They were so tight. I even debated sending them back because they were squeezing my legs like no other leggings I’ve ever owned. However, it turns out that the compression factor of these leggings is exactly what I needed to stop my feet and legs from swelling during my six hour cross country flight. I only got up once, but guess what? I had no swelling at all!

I should add that though these leggings felt tight on my legs when I first put them on, they quickly became super comfortable and I was able to easily move around in them on the plane. In fact, I was so impressed with them that I purchased two more pairs as soon as my plane landed!

If you’re looking for cute and stylish leggings that also hold you in in all the right places, I can’t recommend these highly enough. Yes, they’re a bit pricey, but they are worth it in my opinion. These are the only leggings I’ll travel in from now on.
