Women Are Swapping Their Boring Water For This Ice Pop Electrolyte Mix!

Summer is my favorite season. If I could bottle up summer and wear it year-round, I absolutely would! And while that might sound impossible, fragrance is probably the closest thing we have.

To me, summer smells like sunscreen and sunshine, salty ocean breezes, beachside getaways, and long days spent outdoors with nowhere to be. The right scent can trick you into thinking you’re lounging poolside, even if you’re just trying to channel vacation energy from your desk.

Every summer brings a new crop of fragrance favorites, and beauty editors have strong opinions about which ones are actually worth adding to your rotation. What I love about this year’s editor-approved picks is the fact not all of them are perfumes. These yummy fragrance mists, skin oils, body creams, body butters, and traditional fragrances prove that there’s a summer scent for everyone—even if you’re not a perfume person.

Ahead, shop the scents everyone will be wearing all season long (and beyond)!

Kilian Paris Love, Don’t Be Shy ($185 – $450)

Have you ever wondered what Rihanna smells like? Well, same. The singer is rumored to wear this exact perfume—and considering she’s widely regarded as one of the best-smelling celebrities on the planet, that’s all the endorsement I need.

Love, Don’t Be Shy has developed a cult following for good reason. It opens with bright neroli and orange blossom before giving way to juicy honeysuckle, soft rose, and its signature marshmallow note. It smells sweet, warm, and romantic, but not in an overly sugary way.

What makes this fragrance so special is its ability to appeal to just about everyone. It’s gourmand enough for those who love sweet scents, floral enough for those who prefer something fresh and feminine, and sophisticated enough to earn compliments from complete strangers. Yes, it’s pricey, but it totally deserves a spot at the top of your summer fragrance rotation.

PHLUR Island Swim Hair & Body Fragrance Mist ($26 – $39)

Unlike some mists that disappear five minutes after you spray them, PHLUR’s fragrance mists have a soft, velvety quality that lingers on your skin. They’re also perfect for layering, whether you want to wear them on their own or pair them with your favorite perfume.

PHLUR’s Island Swim is one of my personal faves. Inspired by that first plunge into warm tropical water, it captures the feeling of salty skin, sunlit waves, and beach vacations in fragrance form. Bright bergamot and citrus mingle with creamy coconut, while ocean mist, plumeria, and blue lavender add a fresh, breezy quality. Then, as it dries down, sandalwood and marine amber give it an effortless “I just got back from the beach” vibe. If summer had an official fragrance mist, this might be it!

Kopari Ultra Restore Body Butter ($42)

If you want your summer scent to last, don’t sleep on your body care routine. The right moisturizer—like Kopari’s Ultra Restore Body Butter—can add another layer of fragrance while keeping your skin soft, smooth, and glowing. I personally like to apply it to damp skin straight out of the shower to help lock in moisture.

This whipped, vegan body butter is infused with hyaluronic acid, vitamin B5, coconut oil, prickly pear flower extract, and mango seed butter to help deeply hydrate and soften dry skin. The texture is light and airy, so it sinks in quickly without feeling sticky. And then there’s the scent: a dreamy sweet coconut milk fragrance that instantly gives vacation energy.

Parfums de Marly: Valaya Eau de Parfum ($250 – $410)

Anybody scrolling #PerfumeTok has problem gotten a whiff of (see what I did there?) Parfums de Marly. The French fragrance house has built a serious following for its luxurious perfumes that’ll have everyone asking, “What are you wearing?”

Valaya is one of those scents. This floral fragrance smells like crisp white linens and sunny, summer mornings. With notes of bright bergamot, mandarin, and juicy white peach, and soft orange blossom, it has a clean, airy quality that makes it perfect for warm weather. But the subtle woods and musk base give it enough depth to last all day (and earn plenty of compliments along the way).

L’Occitane Amande Sublime Supple Skin Oil ($55)

Beauty editors have a lot of products they love, but few earn the kind of rave reviews that L’Occitane’s Amande Sublime Supple Skin Oil does.

Even better, it’s perfect for summertime! When it’s hot outside, the last thing I want is to layer on a heavy body cream that feels like it’s sitting on top of my skin. Good thing this lightweight, silky body oil absorbs almost instantly, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth without any greasy finish. The secret is its nourishing formula, which is enriched with 50% almond oil to help soften skin and a silicium complex to support elasticity and suppleness. But the real reason it earns a spot among our must-have summer fragrances is because of its warm, clean, and subtly luxurious almond aroma. It basically smells like a spa day you can take with you.

Ellis Brooklyn SUN FRUIT Eau de Parfum ($33 – $115)

Some fragrances smell good. Others, like Ellis Brooklyn’s SUN FRUIT, also manage to instantly transport you somewhere else. One spritz from this neon bottle and I’m convinced I’ve been whisked away to a Mediterranean vacation, lounging under the sun. If your ideal summer involves a trip to the Italian coastline, SUN FRUIT deserves a spot on your vanity!

The scent opens with fresh fig, bergamot, and plum leaves before unfolding into jasmine, orange blossom, and soft florals. As it settles, creamy vanilla, coconut, amber, and musk add warmth and depth. I especially love how it strikes such a nice balance between fruity, floral, and gourmand.

Laura Mercier Serum Body Cream ($78)

Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer was one of the first “grown-up” beauty products I ever bought as a teenager—and since then, the brand has remained one of my faves. So, I was excited to discover this Serum Body Cream. If you’re not a perfume or body oil person, this is a great alternative. It feels like skincare, but with all the indulgence of a luxe beauty product.

Powered by a blend of French olive oil, French plum seed oil, glycerin, and starflower oil, this decadent body cream helps hydrate, smooth, and visibly firm skin while restoring a healthy glow. It also contains tapioca starch, which creates a subtle blurring effect that leaves skin looking incredibly smooth and radiant. Its yummy scent (warm amber and creamy vanilla) is the perfect finishing touch.

One thing’s for sure: with any of these choices, your summer fragrance wardrobe has never smelled better!
