Once you shorten the hem on your favorite pair of jeans, there’s no turning back–those bell bottom jeans that looked great with platform shoes now look like flood pants. Enter actress Melissa George, (of In Treatment and Grey’s Anatomy) along with friend Kara Harshbarger, below. Their mutal hatred for ruining their jeans while wearing flats  led them to create the solution: the Hemming My Way ($20).

Today’s best find of the day is brilliant: the Hemming My Way includes four adhesive plastic strips that snap under your jeans when you wear flats, and then unsnap so you can wear your jeans with heels, too. Here’s how it works:

The snaps work with bell bottoms and straight leg jeans, and they’re machine washable and reusable. We’re buying these right now.
