The 125 Best New Beauty Launches Of 2023

Newsflash! Former Queer Eye for the Straight Guy fashion plate Carson Kressley has turned to women! Well…as the new target for his fashion and beauty advice, at least.

Kressley appeared on Oprah on Friday to share some tips and tricks and to give a sneak peek of his new Lifetime show, How to Look Good Naked. The hilarious host took Oprah’s notoriously enthusiastic audience on a journey with two Oprah viewers, who not only got complete makeovers (and bravely stripped down to their underwear!), but also stepped through a series of attitude-adjusting experiments and exercises with Carson, who proved just how disproportionately many women look at their bodies.

So just how do you look good naked? Carson says it’s all about your own perception of your body. He stresses that accepting your body in all its glory as it is right now is the only way to start feeling sexy. He recommends getting rid of any and all clothes you’re holding onto that aren’t the right size – too big or too small – and suggests you try to focus on the parts of your body that you like, rather than those that drive you nuts.

But if positive-thinking doesn’t totally do it for you, of course, there are always a few simple shopping tips to be offered from the style guru:

Floppy arms? Buy shirts made from knit spandex to give your top half some extra control and shape. (Just make sure it’s everyday wear; not disco feverish.) This classic stretch knit shirt ($39) is a perfect fit.

Wide waist? Patent leather belts like the St. John Patent Leather Belt ($185) are super-hot right now and give your waist extra definition.

Big Belly? A dress with a large pattern can help to hide your tummy. We love the vintage feel of this Nine West Silk Shift Dress ($150).

Need an Overall Body Boost? You can’t go wrong with a chic wrap dress! Try the Suzi Chin Maggy Boutique Wrap Dress ($118) in rich chocolate brown.
