According to a study done by UCLA researchers, black tea may promote weight loss and other health benefits by changing bacteria in the gut. The UCLA study found that the percentage of bacteria associated with obesity decreased, while bacteria associated with lean body mass increased. How amazing is that?!

In an interview with Southern Living, registered dietitian nutritionist Amy Gorin explains how green may help you lose weight. “This is because green tea may help boost metabolism-- and likely also because of the water (which is filling) that the tea provides when it is brewed.”
