Although Prince Harry and Prince William have seemingly been at war with each other over the last few years, it looks like there’s one good quality that royal experts agree they both share.

A royal historian recently gave an interview and stated that both princes have great “values” as fathers and are exceptional “role models” for their children, despite any family drama that may be going on. Furthermore, she noted that it was a testament to their famous, late mother, Princess Diana, who was known for being especially protective and sensitive when it came to parenting her boys. Read more about the statement on the royals as fathers and their mothers’ influence below.

A Royal Expert Says Prince Harry And Prince William Are 'Very Good Role Models' For Their Children

Although they used to always be pictured side by side, the two royal princes, Harry and William, have been going through a public and painful family "rift" over the last few years. Ever since Prince Harry and his controversial wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their royal duties and moved to America, the relationship between him and those he left behind in Buckingham Palace has reportedly deteriorated.

There have been reports of drama between him and his brother, heir to the throne, Prince William, who will have some decisions to make regarding his estranged brother's status once he becomes the King of England. There have been whispers circulating that the future king wants to strip Harry of his title, doesn't want him to return to his royal duties, etc. However, despite it all, Amanda Foreman, a British historian who is connected to the royal family, told People that they have one thing in common - they're both great dads.

The historian told the publication that no matter what is going on between them, their parenting styles are still admirable. Prince William and his famous wife, Kate Middleton, share three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, while Harry and Meghan have two, Archie and Lilibet.

"The values they are instilling and discussing as families may be their best success," Foreman said about the two dads. "They are both very good role models as parents."

The Historian Compares Prince William And Prince Harry's Parenting To Their Mother, Princess Diana

Before they got into all this drama regarding the Spare author's exit from his royal duties and the UK in general, the two brothers were known for the way they courageously paid tribute to their mother, the late Princess Diana. After her tragic passing in 1997, they've mentioned her fondly in interviews, opening up about the impact she still has on them, and recalling fond memories of her doing whatever she could to show them her appreciation and care as a mother.

As it turns out, Foreman told People that now that each prince has children of their own, it's evident that Diana's parenting did make a lasting impact on them, even though her time with them was cut short. In regard to each royal's approach to trying to give their children as normal and authentic a childhood as possible, Foreman noted, "That is pure Diana."

Unfortunately, while the brothers could make an amazing fathering duo that spent more time together, other royal experts have reported that things still do not seem to be going well between them.

"The rift is very profound and very long-lasting, wrote royal author Robert Lacey, in his book, Battle of Brothers. "It will not be changed, in my opinion, until Harry makes a move and apologizes."

The situation is rather sad, as Foreman believes that if the brothers "could do anything together, properly and genuinely, the force would be a tsunami; it would be incredible."

For now, it is comforting to know that behind the paparazzi lenses and royal appearances, both men are great fathers, and many royal family fans and insiders hope they can one day regain closeness and raise their children together under their mother's influence.
