Do you love the taste of drinks from Starbucks but can’t be bothered spending almost $10 on your morning coffee?

Starbucks has always been an extremely popular yet slightly pricey option for coffee, and things have only gotten more expensive these days. It can sometimes be hard to justify spending $7 or $8 on your favorite sweet treat and beverage, which is why some people have stopped ordering Starbucks as much. Luckily, a TikTok user has figured out an ordering ‘hack’ that can significantly cut the cost of your favorite flavored Starbucks beverages. Read more about it below.

A Starbucks Customer Shares Her Starbucks Ordering Hack That Can Get You 'Cheaper' Drinks

A TikTok user named Rachel (@justrachelv) shared a video about her go-to Starbucks menu ordering hack that helped her cut the price of her favorite iced lattes in half.

"Here's how to get your Starbucks drinks half-off every time," says Rachel at the start of her viral video.

"I know this isn't new. I learned this on this app, but I just wanted to [share] it with you guys in case you don't know."

Rachel instructs her followers who want to save a bit of money on their next latte or flavored coffee drink at Starbucks to order ahead in their mobile app "deconstructed" instead of selecting a product as is.

"It ends up being so much cheaper," she adds.

The TikTok user then explains that one of her favorite drinks from the coffee-based fast food restaurant is a 'grande' iced caramel latte with oat milk, and it can often cost around $7, which is pretty intense for a coffee order.

However, when she breaks it down a certain way on the Starbucks app, things change. Instead of ordering a latte as it's listed on the Starbucks menu, Rachel goes into the mobile ordering app and gets a certain number of espresso shots, adds milk, then a flavored syrup, and essentially constructs a latte for a lower price.

You can order the espresso shots over ice or leave them hot and get any kind of milk you want. Still, it'll come out less expensive than a latte on their menu.

TikTok Users React To Rachel's Starbucks Mobile Ordering Trick

In her video, Rachel shows off her "deconstructed" latte that she got in the popular coffee chain's mobile app, which consisted of three espresso shots over ice, a "splash" of oat milk, a splash of cream, and three pumps of caramel flavoring.

By the time her order was complete, she had essentially crafted a venti iced latte for half the price.

"It's an iced latte for $4," says Rachel towards the end of her video.

"Order it like this!" she continues.

"Figure out what syrups your favorite drinks have in them and then make it that way and save yourself $3 or $4 every single time."

Once her TikTok post started gaining traction on the app, Rachel's viewers began commenting that they were "so thankful" to learn about this menu hack, given that prices at all sorts of fast food and coffee establishments have seemingly increased drastically over the years.

"Trying this immediately," commented a TikTok user on her video.

"Very, very nice and helpful," added another. "Thank you."

"Genius!" wrote a viewer, as another mentioned they thought Rachel's hack was "great and super helpful."

One disclaimer that some TikTok users wrote in the comment section on Rachel's video was that she may have gotten lucky with the amount of milk she was given on the day she recorded her video. The "splash" of milk feature typically only contains a small serving of milk, so that's something to keep in mind when using this menu hack.

Otherwise, Rachel's Starbucks hack may just have you enjoying the taste of their famous coffee and espresso for only a few bucks. How cool is that?
