The annual event hosted by King Charles is thrown in honor of women who have overcome personal hardships to build better futures—and Clooney has a special connection to the awards. The international human rights lawyer partnered with the charity in 2019 and launched the Amal Clooney Women’s Empowerment Award in 2022.
