Angelina Jolie has accused Brad Pitt of trying to silence her allegations of abuse in a brand new court filing.
In a dramatic turn of events, the 49-year-old Tony-winning Outsiders producer‘s lawyers have accused the Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood actor, 60, of trying to coerce her into signing an $8.5M non-disclosure agreement to prevent her from speaking out about the alleged abuse she suffered during their marriage. The bombshell accusation emerged in a new court filing dated July 25th, adding another layer of complexity to their already contentious divorce.

The former Hollywood power couple's high-profile relationship began in 2005 and ended in 2016; and they have been embroiled in bitter legal disputes over everything from their children to their Château Miraval winery ever since their separation.
If you'll recall, the couple once known as Brangelina announced their separation back in September 2016 after a family plane trip from France to Los Angeles reportedly turned violent. It's since been alleged that Pitt was getting physically abusive with Jolie and some of their six children on the plane.
The latest filing by the Oscar-winning actress suggests that the Bullet Train actor has attempted to silence her allegations of abuse with an NDA.
According to the court documents which have been obtained by People, Jolie alleges that Pitt wanted her to sign an NDA as a condition of the sale of her stake in Château Miraval. The Maleficent actress claims that Pitt's attempt to enforce the NDA was part of a broader effort to suppress her allegations of physical and emotional abuse during their marriage.
In the most recent court documents, Jolie’s legal team have reiterated that she "was not acting with malice and the intent to hurt Pitt in response to any custody ruling" when she sold her share of Château Miraval to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler in 2021.
"Instead, it was Pitt who refused to buy her interest unless he received his newly expanded NDA, enforceable by an $8.5 million holdback specifically designed to force her silence about his abuse and cover-up," the filing added.
Also in the court documents which were obtained by People, Jolie's attorneys added: "While Pitt advances what is effectively an outdated privacy-of-domestic-violence argument to shield his abuse, his argument is not the law, at least not in this century, and he cites no authority that would give him such unwarranted protections. In any event, he waived any privacy protections when he sued Jolie."

"He is suing her!" exclaimed another fan, before pointing out: "Angelina asked him to put an end to this and help heal his children who are dropping his name and the abuser said NO."
A final Angelina fan added: "He's obsessed with Angie, is STILL abusing her through the court system and continues to be a 'world class [expletive]' by gaslighting Angie and her children. This guy needs to leave her alone. The people defending him obviously haven't read anything."
