The end of 2021 was filled with unexpected new celeb couples (we’re looking at you, Kim and Pete,) but 2022 is already off to a bang with the news that Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader are said to have been dating for more than a year. The surprising pairing, who co-starred in the movie Noelle together in 2019 reportedly struck up a romance in 2020 and have been together ever since.
Keeping the relationship out of the public eye, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE, “Anna has been dating Bill quietly for over a year. They met years ago. She’s hosted Saturday Night Live and they’ve done a movie together, but they got together well after the movie.”

The source also revealed to the publication, “They are both very private people, and with the pandemic it was easy to keep it quiet. They’re both hysterical so they must keep each other laughing all of the time. She’s really, really happy.”
While neither Kendrick nor Hader have publicly confirmed their romance, the pair are both notoriously private about their personal relationships, with Hader dating fellow actor Rachel Bilson for several months before stepping out on the red carpet together. The same source also revealed to PEOPLE that Kendrick and Hader “are both very private people, and with the pandemic, it was easy to keep it quiet.”
Kendrick has famously also been private about her relationship status throughout her years in the spotlight, but was in a relationship with cinematographer Ben Richardson from 2014 to 2020. Although it’s all speculation until the couple announce the news on their own, we’re happy they’re *reportedly* happy.
