The 40-year-old Locked Down actress attended the 8th Annual Hollywood Beauty Awards Benefiting Helen Woodward Animal Center in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 9, rocking a stunning black Versace maxi dress with a difference. (Now we know where Hailey Bieber and all the other guests at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party got their black maxi dress inspiration from!)
But just like most Versace pieces, it was no ordinary black maxi dress, as the Armageddon Time actress‘s version featured a corset-inspired neckline and the brand’s iconic gold Medusa embellishments on the straps, which made it more than obvious who was behind the design of the dress.

The Oscar-winning actress accessorized with a silver choker and some stacked bracelets, which we feel is a nice contrast to the gold embellishments on the dress’s straps (mixing metals is totally en-vogue, don’tcha know!) and finished off with a bold red lip for even more drama! Her long, brunette locks were worn in an effortless down do, and placed behind her shoulders to not distract from the front of the dress, or the jewelry. Smart!
