It’s a great healthy carb, packed with fiber, and will keep you full for hours which will help to maintain a calorie deficit for weight loss. Oatmeal can also be great for easing inflammation, and if you’re too lazy to make breakfast in the morning, you can prep this overnight oat recipe in the evening for a delicious meal that’s perfect to ease inflammation and start your day!

Registered dietitian Lisa R. Young came up with the perfect anti-inflammatory overnight oat recipe which will keep you full and satisfied, while working hard to beat bloat and help with weight loss. Loaded with fruits and other naturally filling toppings, this recipe will be a year-round staple.

Ingredients:


½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup non-dairy milk or unsweetened almond milk
½ cup blueberries or blackberries
½ banana or 1/2 chopped apple
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon walnuts
½ teaspoon cinnamon and/or ginger, optional
1 teaspoons pure maple syrup, optional

Instructions:

 

-Combine ingredients in a jar and stir well.
-Cover and refrigerate overnight.
-In the morning, heat if desired.
-Top with 1/4 cup Greek yogurt.
