Burglar Who Targeted Anya Taylor-Joy's Mansion Jailed
Her appearance comes just as the burglar who targeted her bedroom was recently sentenced.
In February 2023, Anya Taylor-Joy and her husband, Malcolm McRae, were victims of a burglary at a London mansion after hearing glass shatter. Two masked men, including convicted criminal Kirk Holdrick, broke into the home while the couple was inside. McRae barricaded himself and Taylor-Joy in a bedroom as the intruders attempted to force their way in.
Armed with a lamp, McRae bluffed that he had a gun, prompting the burglars to flee empty-handed. "I have a gun, I have a gun," he reportedly claimed.
Holdrick, 43, a career criminal, was later sentenced to an additional three years in prison for the burglary, to be served on top of a 12-year sentence for a separate armed robbery.
At the scene, the couple told police they were traumatized by the ordeal and feared being targeted again in the future.
