This week, the vocalist’s name is in headlines and flooding various social media platforms, and it’s not necessarily for the best reasons. Ariana Grande Releases Tickets For Her 'Eternal Sunshine' Tour

Over the last two years, the Nickelodeon alum has been striving to let the fans of her music know that she would not be taking a permanent break from recording, releasing, and performing her own pop music. After taking a lengthy break from live performances and releases in order to film and promote the Wicked film, which allowed her to return to her musical theater roots, she put out the extended version of her 2024 album, Eternal Sunshine, and at the end of August, announced she was taking the album on a worldwide arena tour.

The tour will be stopping in major American cities and some select international locations like London and Montreal. Being that this is her first tour since her 'Sweetener' tour in 2019, fans of hers began freaking out online, determined to buy tickets. Like many concerts these days, fans were encouraged to sign up for an artist presale on Ticketmaster, right before they went on sale to the general public on the same platform.

However, the system is known for being slightly problematic, as the artist presales often sell out venues for larger artists, and numerous tickets are bought by scalpers who resell them at a higher price. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case with Ariana's shows.

Fans Criticize Ariana's 'Insane' Ticket Prices And 'Sad' Buying Experience

Many fans of the 32-year-old and other internet users were prepared to go to what they called "Ticketmaster war" when both the presale and general public tickets went on sale earlier this week.

However, the process ended up being a little more brutal than expected. Fans who did receive presale codes reported that once they finally got past the "queue" of thousands of other fans, many of the seats at venues across the country were already bought just moments after the presale began. Those who did get in recall purchasing tickets for up to hundreds of dollars, while those who didn't had to wait for the just as competitive general public sale.

As tickets continued to get purchased, numerous seats went up for resale, where fans took to platforms like X and Instagram to complain about the "insane" prices and accuse the singer's team of "botching" the process.

"This is such a joke," wrote an X user who claimed to have spent hours waiting to purchase tickets. "Ticket pricing is showing to be at least $500 for a nosebleed seat. I hate what concerts have become."

"This is truly devastating for genuine fans like myself," posted another disappointed fan.

"The amount of tickets already available for resale on Ticketmaster and the prices are INSANE!" added a fan who screen-recorded tickets being resold for over $1,000. "This is incredibly disappointing and heartbreaking to true Ariana fans."

"All of us just lost the Ticketmaster war," added an upset fan.
