The Voice seems like one of the most fun places to work, and we think the playful yet competitive relationship the coaches have with each other is a huge part of it!

Earlier this week, it was rumored that Ariana Grande – who joined the NBC show for its 21st season earlier this year – would be replacing Blake Shelton on the talent contest, because the 28-year-old singer brings a “fresh” energy to the show. And we are obsessed with the way the 45-year-old country singer, who is now the only original coach remaining on the show, reacted to the hearsay.

Shelton – who married 51-year-old former No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani on July 3 this year – texted Grande over the weekend with a link to the article that featured the rumor; and the Thank U, Next singer found it so funny, she couldn’t help but share it with her 268 million Instagram followers.

Shelton texted, “Thanks a lot Ari… Thanks a (expletive) lot..” which Ariana shared on Instagram (it’s the last slide in a long carousel of images, in case you’re having trouble finding it) and tagged fellow coaches John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and the official The Voice page, as well as Shelton.

We hope the fact that both Shelton and Grande are joking with each other means that there is no truth in the rumors that he will be leaving the show next season, as we think the current vocal coach line-up is one of the best the show has ever seen! The 7 Rings singer is already a huge hit with the viewers and the rest of the coaches, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the season holds for her – especially as she has admitted to being a "huge fan" of the show even before she appeared on it.

"I was a huge fan of The Voice. I have watched many seasons and I love watching the show," she previously told Entertainment Tonight. "It always has the best energy, and it's just such wholesome, inspiring television. I love seeing the different voices and watching so many people start their careers." Us too, Ari. Us too!
