Ben Affleck Is Reportedly 'Happy' That Ana de Armas Is 'Back On The Market'
The Cuban-American performer has dated two of the biggest men in Hollywood, including the Good Will Hunting star, between 2019 and 2021, and more recently, action icon Tom Cruise. However, her days with the Top Gun actor are reportedly over, and inside sources are reporting that she is single once again.
Ana and Ben reportedly began dating while filming their psychological thriller, Deep Water, right before the COVID-19 pandemic began to break out. They stayed together for around a year, eventually breaking up in early 2021, as insiders cited they wanted to focus on their individual schedules and personal lives, as Ben continued co-parenting his children with Jennifer Garner.
Since then, Ben reunited and married ex Jennifer Lopez, breaking things off in 2022 and finalizing their divorce this year. Ana entered a short-lived romance with Tom Cruise, which ended a few months ago, leaving both exes single. According to new inside reports, the dad-of-three is quite happy about that.
"Ben's happy as can be that she's back on the market," a source told the Globe. "He's planning to test the waters and see what his chances are for a reunion."
Insiders Claim Ben Hasn't Been Able To 'Forget' His Time With Ana
Not only is the award-winning actor happy to see his ex is "back on the market," but allegedly, she's been on his mind for a long time. Insiders have claimed that over the last few years, Ben reportedly "hasn't been able to forget" Ana nor their short-lived relationship, and that it was difficult for him to see her with Tom, with whom he's been friendly in the past.
"Ben is kind of [a] jealous [type]," a source told The Daily Mail. "He really liked Ana a lot, and then she walked away and left him sad. So to see her happy with his friend is kind of weird for him."
Although we have yet to see if the former co-stars and exes ever end up reuniting, it sounds like the Gone Girl actor is prepared to give things another shot.
"Their chemistry was off the charts, but back then, life for Ben was still very chaotic," a source added. "He'd battled addiction, relapsed in 2019, and everything was a little unstable. Ben is much more grounded these days."
