The winter edition of Paris Fashion Week has been in full swing, and there’s a controversial wardrobe trend not many people were expecting to see on some of today’s biggest celebrities.
It might be time for the sheer dress and top trend to start fading away, as stars now seem to be covering up in fur, and it was especially prominent in this weekend’s Paris Fashion Week festivities. Fur has long been a controversial element of the fashion world, especially at massive events like Fashion Week shows. Although many stars are choosing to wear faux fur these days, it was seen on some of today’s most popular celebrities, like Jennifer Lawrence and others. 1. Jennifer Lawrence
Being not only one of the most talented and popular actresses of her generation, but also the Hunger Games icon, she has also become a big fashion inspiration, being known for effortlessly combining both casual and formal elements.
She did exactly that for Dior's fashion show at PFW earlier this week, stepping out in a pair of light blue jeans, a simple white t-shirt, and a dark brown double-breasted coat, which featured super large and dramatic fur cuffs made from fluffy, black and white fur. The coat paid tribute to the famous brand, as it was featured in their Dior Men Fall 2026 show.
2. Anya Taylor-Joy
The Queen's Gambit star ended up stepping out for the Paris Dior show in the same coat as Jennifer but in a different color, pairing it with completely different accessories and pieces.
Anya wore a light gray edition of the double-breasted trench coat, with the same black and white fur coats. However, she wore the long coat closed, with it landing just above her ankles. On her shoulders, she wore a brightly colored silk shawl, which she wore like a cape over the coat. She paired the coat and shawl with some pointy-toed high heels, which complemented her platinum blonde hair.
3. Lauren Sánchez Bezos
The 'Mrs. Amazon was also an attendee of the highly-publicized Dior show, which she attended alongside husband Jeff Bezos, who she married in a star-studded wedding this past summer.
Although she didn't wear the same coat with fur cuffs as Jennifer and Anya, she did wear a super chic coat with some fur elements, adding to the trend. She had on a figure-hugging, light gray skirt suit, which she paired with a large, speckled fur collar. She had her long, dark hair in a voluminous, Audrey Hepburn-esque updo, and wore darker gray high heels made from a suede material.
