Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner divorced back in 2018. However, Affleck’s been reflecting on his relationship with Garner lately. He recently told the New York Times that the divorce was the “biggest regret of my life.”
Affleck and Garner met in 2000 while filming “Pearl Harbor,” but didn’t start dating until the fall of 2004 and were married by the summer of 2005. The couple was together for 10 years before separating and finalizing their divorce in 2018.
Affleck admitted that his drinking caused “created more marital problems.” He had been in and out of rehab several times and checked in once again after the divorce from Garner. Affleck still feels guilty over the split from Garner but has finally learned to move past his shame.
He’s renewed his love for acting and is starring in a new filmed titled “The Way Back.” The film hits home for the actor. Affleck plays an alcoholic basketball coach that finds redemption through working with an ethnically mixed high school basketball team in the new drama. The film also stars Janina Gavankar and Michaela Watkins and is set to be released on March 6, 2020.
Garner continues to act and works frequently as an activist for early childhood education. She also shares her cooking pursuits regularly on social media.
