Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez Spotted On A Lunch Date With Their Kids
Last Saturday, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez took their children out to lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel, just about one month since Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck. Paparazzi got some snaps of the group entering the restaurant, with Lopez's children Max and Emme, 16, leading the way, and Affleck's kids, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12, bringing up the rear. In some of the photos, Jen and Ben looked to be deep in conversation, and based on the "miserable" look on Ben's face, he wasn't too happy.
Although, it could've just been a hea-tof-the-moment reaction to something Lopez said, because eyewitnesses are reporting that not only were Jen and Ben seated at "a separate table" from their kids, they were also spotted "holding hands and kissing." So... is the divorce off?
Jennifer Lopez Files For Divorce
Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on August 20th, 2024, two years after their traditional wedding ceremony. The 55-year-old filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and listed April 26, 2024 as the date of separation. She filed for divorce herself without using a lawyer and is technically self-represented.
“She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken,” a source told People. “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been,” they noted. A separate source noted that "J.Lo has been through a lot in her life, but this year has really tested how much pain she can withstand."
According to the source, the divorce has "devastated [Lopez]. She wanted to try to work on their marriage, but Ben checked out, and it was hopeless. When she realized that, she filed. Though she's putting on a brave face in public, behind closed doors she's been in tears. It's the worst year of her life."
