Selena Gomez just celebrated joining the billions club—that is, a major celebrity worth at least $1B—and it looks like her fiancé, Benny Blanco, is reaping the benefits. The music producer, who is worth a whopping $50M himself, just posted a video reviewing a box of luxury blueberries—priced at $200! Users online weren’t amused, though, and called him out for being “tone deaf.” Keep reading for more information.

Benny Blanco Reviews $200 Blueberries

In the video, Benny unboxes the large blueberries sent to him by the brand Elly Amai. Packaged like chocolates, the blueberries are nearly the size of ping pong balls. “These blueberries they just sent me are the biggest things I’ve ever seen in my life,” Benny begins the video.

Taking a bite out of the blueberry (yes, they’re big enough to take a bite out of and still have half the fruit remaining), Benny says, “They’re like a f***ing meal,” before eating a few more of them in quick succession.

“They’re f***ing huge,” he continues between bites. “They’re delicious. I think the boxes are like $200. That’s crazy!” Though the blueberry box isn’t currently listed on the Elly Amai website, they do have a melon for sale for $105 and a single strawberry going for $2o, so the blueberries being priced at $200 would not be out of the question for the Asian brand.

Social Media Reactions

On TikTok, though, a $200 box of blueberries is so far out of the question, it's nearly offensive. Users were quick to call out Benny for being "tone deaf" and "out of touch."

"Sir we're not rich enough to relate to this," one person commented.

"Meanwhile I can't afford regular fruit," another user wrote.

"This is rich rich and we're all poor poor," a third comment reads.

"I really like this guy, but man, the rich are clearly not taxed enough," one person said.

"I can't even afford the standard pack of blueberries at the moment," a final person posted. "This is crazy."
