King Charles is looking back on his younger days after making an announcement that he’s scaling back on his cancer treatment, and the internet can’t get over it.

As part of a new television special, the monarch looked back at footage of him from when he went on an adventurous trip to the Arctic in 1975, when he was 26 years old. The king had both fond and wild memories of the trip, and the Royal Family X account shared footage of him commenting on his trip. Internet users weighed in with comments on Charles’ sense of humor as they enjoyed him reminiscing on older times. Read more about what he had to say below.

King Charles Looks At Old Footage Of Himself From 1975 In A Viral X Video

This week, the UK television channel ITV shared a video for an upcoming television special starring broadcaster and author Steve Backshall, where he takes on a challenge that King Charles did back in 1975. The video includes footage of the trip to the Canadian Arctic the monarch took that year, when he was 26 years old, riding a Ski-Doo or snowmobile through the tundra.

As a special treat, Steve recently sat down with the king and showed him the footage of himself, capturing his reaction in real time.

“Can you remember the sensation?” Steve asks as Charles watches the footage of himself on the snowmobile.

“Frozen,” he responds while laughing. “I lost all sensation of feeling in my hands and everything. But yeah, it was quite exciting.”

The Internet Reacts To The New Footage Of Charles

Seeing the 77-year-old react to the old video clips of him on his Arctic adventure was a real treat for internet users and fans of the royal family, as it's not often they get to see members of the family open up about some of their memories.

Additionally, the viral X clip was posted not long after Charles revealed his cancer treatment was very effective, and that he was going to start scaling back to "precautionary" treatment instead. Therefore, fans of his left lots of adoring comments under the footage.

"This was so lovely to watch," commented a user. "Also good to see HMK so enjoying the memories! He was indeed 'the action man.'"

"This is a very wonderful user," added another.

"He has a great sense of humor," wrote a fan.
