hardboiled eggs

According to experts from Live Strong, hardboiled eggs make the perfect fat-free meal to kick start both your day and your metabolism. They recommend removing the yolk and eating the egg whites with a side of non-fat yogurt.

The egg whites and yogurt from this healthy meal give you a hearty dose of protein, which will keep you full until lunch time, according to Live Strong. And, you also get a super low-cal breakfast with this combo—one large egg is about 78 calories. Without the yolk, it's condensed down to only 17 calories.

Live Strong suggests hard-boiled eggs for both weight loss and a faster metabolism. Eggs have nutrients that help your body metabolize both fat and carbs.

Hard-boiled eggs alone might seem pretty bland, but sprinkle some salt and pepper for instant flavor and a low-fat breakfast. While Live Strong says it's ok to skimp out on fat for breakfast, you actually do need healthy fats in your diet, so incorporate some into your lunch or dinner.
