Brie Larson turned heads at the 9th Annual Breakthrough Prize Ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 15th. After recently stunning in a sheer black Yves Saint Laurent gown, the Captain Marvel actress looked like a princess in the royal blue draped ruched midi dress from the Jason Wu collection. The dark blue ensemble looked truly breathtaking on Brie and fans are convinced it’s her color.

Brie Larson Wears A Blue Jason Wu Midi Dress For The 9th Annual Breakthrough Prize Ceremony
For the prize ceremony, Brie wore a jaw-dropping, royal blue dress that hugged her athletic figure. The gown featured thin spaghetti straps, a ruched design that pulled the fabric towards the left side of the ensemble for a dramatic touch that fell just above her ankles. The Emmy winner opted for a pair of open-toed, silver strappy heels, silver drop earrings, and a matching chunky gemstone silver ring.
She parted her flattering blonde, brunette tresses in a deep side part, allowing her straight strands to flawlessly flow down past her shoulders. Brie chose to go with a classic, simple makeup look for the evening including a swipe of mascara, nude eyeshadow that made her brown eyes pop, light pink blush to highlight her cheekbones, and a mauve lip to finish off the look.
The Breakthrough Prize Ceremony honors "scientists changing the world" and awards them cash prizes for their crucial work. It's colloquially called "the Oscars of Science" and was founded by Sergey Brin, Priscilla Chan, Julia Milner, Yuri Milner, Anne Wojcicki, and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. The event took place at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and was hosted by late-night host James Corden.
According to the official website, the event features, "short films about the scientists and their work, presentations by celebrities and live music from world-renowned artists," and "draws together the stars of science with leading figures from the worlds of technology, business, and entertainment." A total of $15.75 million was given out to Breakthrough Prize honorees.
Brie and director Chloé Zhao (who she recently posted a bikini picture with!) presented Dr. Dennis Lo with an award. Dr. Lo is a molecular biologist who is considered an important contributor to the development of non-invasive prenatal testing.
