Brie Larson’s Barefaced Beauty Shines in Makeup-Free Selfies
Last month, the Fast X star flaunted her dewy, supple and smooth skin as well as her epic bone structure in four sunlit selfies. She wore her dirty blonde tresses in a slicked-back bun, and donned a classic black-and-white Adidas tracksuit (Larson often shows fans how she works out and trains for Marvel films on Instagram as well).
The 33-year-old captioned her post: “golden hour glow.” Naturally, fans couldn’t get enough, with one commenting: “you are so naturally beautiful.” Another added: “so gorg and always glowing!” Larson’s MCU co-star Samuel L. Jackson also chimed in, writing: “YES!!” with hearts and 100 emojis to praise her selfies.

The Scott Pilgrim vs. the World alum snapped a hotel mirror selfie that same week, and also posted a makeup-free moment. She posed in a graphic sweater as fans praised not only her natural complexion, but also her “toned” and “sculpted” legs.
In March of 2021, Larson sat down for an interview with Allure. She spoke about her makeup and skincare routines, and how they’ve changed in the past few years. She also explained how she finds makeup-free photos to be empowering.

“I mean, a lot of the jobs that I’ve done have been characters that don’t have makeup on. And that felt incredibly empowering to me. I remember someone asking me once, ‘How did they do your acne for “Room?” It looked so real.’ And I was like, ‘Oh no, those were just my zits.’ That was part of my growth and expression, saying, ‘This is who I am and this is what I look like,'” she said at the time.
Larson added, “Around the time I was training for ‘Captain Marvel,’ I started to become interested in [beauty] again. I had rejected it for so long that I could come to it with my own approach, outside of what I felt like was being imposed upon me.”
