Emma Heming Willis Sits Down For An Interview With Diane Sawyer
Bruce Willis, the star of the Die Hard films and other cult classics like Pulp Fiction, has been going through a rough time alongside his family members for a while, after they announced he was diagnosed with a rare form of dementia.
Recently, his 47-year-old wife, Emma, a British-American model and the mother of his two youngest daughters, sat down with famous journalist Diane Sawyer to give an update on his health, and talk about one of her latest projects, a memoir, The Unexpected Journey, which details her husband's illness from her point of view, and what it's like to become a caregiver unexpectedly.
The in-depth interview will be released as part of a longer special on the 70-year-old actor's life, career, and health, "Emma & Bruce Willis: The Unexpected Journey," which will air on ABC on August 26th. In brief clips from the interview, audiences can expect Emma to answer difficult questions like, "Were there days when he would be Bruce again?"
The questions have confirmed most of what his family has opened up about so far, that he's at a stage in his illness where he seems to be losing his identity, which has been very tragic for them to witness.

Emma Recalls The Day She Found Out About Bruce's Dementia Diagnosis
In previews of the interview, the model and mom-of-two recalls the moment she found out about her husband's illness, and how she felt when she received the shocking news.
"I was so panicked, and I just remember hearing it and just not hearing anything else," she told Diane. "It was like I was free-falling."
Bruce and his family revealed his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis in 2023, and since then, Emma's seemingly been doing a great job at keeping her husband's concerned fans and the public informed about how he's doing while also respecting his privacy and spending as much quality time with him as possible.
In addition to her, his ex-wife, Demi Moore, and their three daughters have been especially supportive, visiting him as much as they can and working around the changes in his personality and demeanor.
While we await to see what else Emma has to say during her interview with Diane, it looks like, other than his close friends and family, there are a whole lot of people out there who are thinking of him and keeping him in their hearts.
