Whole Foods Markets is one of our favorite chain grocery stores for snagging foods that are free of artificial preservatives, chemicals, flavorings, and unhealthy hydrogenated fats. One of the best things about Whole Foods is that, in addition to selling fresh produce and reasonably priced products like pasta, legumes, and breads, Whole Foods has its very own amazing line of ready-to-eat and semi ready-to-eat foods.

Beyond Meat The Beyond Burger: Plant-Based Burger
If you're a vegetarian or trying to cut down on red meat, but still crave a juicy burger once in awhile, this plant-based burger is both nutritious and really delicious, according to Matt L., a trainer in New York City.
"This veggie burger is unlike any you'll find in the freezer section of your grocery store," Matt says. "It's actually juicy, which is unheard of in a veggie burger. It has 20 grams of plant protein and you don't have to worry about it having hormones, GMOs, or antibiotics. It's simply a better burger."
Be aware that, unlike lots of other veggie burgers, this one needs to be cooked. It actually bleeds like a beef burger, too — but don't worry, the "blood" is from beets.
Whole Foods Market Original Hummus
When afternoon snack cravings kick in, Matt says he satisfies them with a the protein found in Whole Foods Hummus, combined with something crunchy and flavorful, like pickles.
"This hummus is made without oil and is creamy, rich, and delicious," Matt says. "It's low in calories and super high in protein and I use it as both a dip and as a spread in place of condiments like mayo and mustard."
