Cameron Diaz took a step away from her acting career in 2014, but the 48-year-old is open to the idea of returning to the spotlight sometime in the future though she is definitely not rushing it.

During an interview with Naomi Campbell for her No Filter series, Diaz explained her feelings about acting now.
She told the model, "I feel really resolved. I mean, I never say never to anything, first of all, but I feel really resolved. I haven't made a movie since 2014. It's been a long time, it's been seven years or six years since I made a film. Girl, I am okay with that."
Diaz continued, "There's no part of me that's like, 'I gotta get in front of a camera!'"
However, she is not completely ruling out the possibility of a return to acting.
"I don't feel that way — and that's not to say I won't some day. But I'm really resolved at where I'm at right now," she said.
Diaz decided to quit acting and focus on finding peace in her personal life.
She opened up about the decision during a talk with In Goop Health: The Sessions.
She told Gwyneth Paltrow, "I just decided that I wanted different things out of my life. I had gone so hard for so long — working, making films — and it's such a grind. I didn't really make any space for my personal life."
Now that she has taken a step back from the spotlight though she feels at peace.
She explained how she felt after making the change: "A peace," she explained. "I got a peace in my soul. I finally was taking care of myself."
