Carrie Underwood Continues As A Judge For American Idol Following Controversial Inauguration Performance
In response to a February 9th Instagram post on her page promoting her role on the talent show, fans voiced their disappointment over the show’s choice to keep her as a judge following the inauguration performance.
One commented: “No thanks ! Anyone that sings willingly for an insurrectionist is not worth watching!” Another replied: “skipping this season.” One other added: “Yea won’t be watching this year then. Can’t support a show that hires a woman who supports hate and racism and convicted felons.”
However, things are moving forward as planned, as she will make her debut on the judge’s panel for Season 23 of American Idol, premiering on Sunday, March 9. Fans can catch the show every Sunday at 8 PM ET on ABC.
