Carrie Underwood recently announced some huge career news on Instagram, and fans are incredibly excited—she got her own SiriusXM satellite radio station!
The country superstar told fans that her station, “Carrie’s Country”, will be on Sirius channel 60, and is both presented and curated by Carrie herself. The station launched on June 9th to great fan acclaim.

Unlike some other Sirius channels that only play music by one artist and some related works (such as “The Beatles Channel), “Carrie’s Country” will both stream Carrie’s songs and include a variety of music personally curated by the artist herself, “from classic rock to the latest in country.” It seems the station will be comparable to similar formats offered on “Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Radio” and “Marky Ramone’s Punk Rock Blitzkreig,” which means fans may end up hearing previously unreleased selections from Carrie, enjoy shows or segments hosted by the singer, and perhaps get exclusive interviews.
The station's primary focus will be country, as it's Carrie's primary genre, but she promises to reveal much in the way of her backstory and inspirations with other songs in genres like classic rock and gospel—after all, Carrie is a notorious Guns N' Roses fan, so she probably has a lot of rock unexpectedly up her sleeve! "I've been very involved—building out the library and everything has been a lot of fun. And it is Carrie's Country, but it's so much more than that," Carrie said on the Howard Stern show, also on Sirius XM. "It's me, it's new country, it's classic country, we have rock — hopefully, all country listeners will enjoy it and enjoy discovering new songs."

Fans React To Launch Of 'Carrie's Country' Channel: 'All The Music I Love!'
Fans of both the "Before He Cheats" singer and country music itself have been raving since the channel's debut on SiriusXM June 9th: "@Carries_Country is the only station I need! Wow! All the music I love!! Listening to it all shift long!" wrote one megafan. "Seriously loving this @Carries_Country station! Yes to morning motivation! Legit getting me up and feeling pumped for the day!" said another. And they weren't the only listeners gushing:

To kick off the channel in true country style, Carrie went live on the station from the Margaritavilla hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, sporting her classic rhinestone jean shorts and white cowboy boots. According to SiriusXM, the channel promises to feature "original programming, including monthly themed shows, morning workout and late-night hard-rock blocks, and “Savior Sunday” – a full day of inspirational music including Carrie’s own gospel catalogue, country titles, and more of the music that is close to her heart."
