Chorizo Cheddar Egg Bites
Starting today, this brand new item is available for breakfast in in Augusta, Georgia; Aiken, South Carolina; Columbus, Ohio; Norfolk and Portsmouth, Viriginia; Miami, and New Orleans. Chick-fil-A describes these egg bites as "ideal for a meal on-the-go." They're made fresh in-house and are packed with tasty ingredients like Mexican-style chorizo sausage, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, and, of course, fluffy eggs.
Leslie Neslage, director of menu and packaging at Chick-fil-A, Inc., says this is response to guests "asking for more bite-sized, shareable breakfast options." The company hopes these egg bites will serve as a convenient, satisfying back-to-school breakfast.
"The Chorizo Cheddar Egg Bites are part of a continuing effort to provide more options for guests ordering one of the most important meals of the day," the press release states. "They are the first new breakfast entrée Chick-fil-A has created since the Hash Brown Scramble Bowl joined menus nationwide in 2017." Exciting!
However, only time will tell if this fresh new item will go nationwide and stay on the menu. It all comes down to how customers react. If you live near one of the testing locations, we'd definitely recommend stopping by the drive-thru for a taste! Meanwhile, we'll be waiting for our chance.
