Chrissy Metz Flaunts Her Weight Loss In A Figure-Hugging Olive Green Dress
The actress and children's book author has entered a new phase of her career, after finishing what many would argue was her breakthrough role as Kate Pearson in the famous NBC family drama, This Is Us. After the series ended in 2022, she took some time to relax but explored other passions like writing books and music, as well as auditioning for some other series.
Last year, she made waves in the hit Netflix series, The Hunting Wives, and garnered a lot of media attention, being put back in the spotlight. Recently, she was invited to New York City to be a guest on Good Day and Good Night New York, the morning and evening talk shows. For her appearance, she wore an outfit that allowed her to show off her latest 100-lb weight loss.
Chrissy stunned in a winter-appropriate look consisting of an off-shoulder, long-sleeved sweater dress. The dress was in an olive green color and had braided fabric along the neckline. As she gained popularity, the 45-year-old performer opened up about what it was like to be a bigger woman in the entertainment industry, trying to build her career and take on projects that weren't solely focused on her weight. Throughout those years, she also figured out better ways of taking care of herself, working on self-love, and finding healthy lifestyle habits that worked for her.
"I need to strength-train, eat more protein," she told People. "I want to be mobile. I’m relying on intuitive eating and asking myself, ‘Is what I’m putting in my body harmful or helpful?’ I want to be health-positive. It’s not that I condone morbid obesity or heroin chic. I condone a healthy body. There are plenty of people who are bigger-bodied and perfectly healthy."
In addition to practicing intuitive eating, Chrissy has also mentioned falling in love with strength-training as a form of exercise, meeting with a personal trainer who helps her figure out what she likes, and practicing self-care and forgiveness. Whatever she's doing is clearly working, and her fans are cheering her on.
