When you hear Kim Kardashian plus the word “sheer” in the same sentence, I’m sure your mind goes to a dirty place. But think again! The sheer trend for 2018 that celebs like Kim and others are LOVING isn’t a sheer top or a completely see-through red carpet dress–it’s clear shoes!
That’s right, totally PG but chic AF.
PVC, plastic, or “naked” shoes have been around for a few seasons now–but the fervor is only rising. As seen on the runways of Chanel and Christopher Kane, as well as from designers like Aquazzura and Gianvito Rossi, clear shoes are that slightly random and highly impractical trend that just won’t quit.
And these aren’t anything like the platform “stripper shoes” your mind might go to immediately. This summer, the big trend is these surprisingly classy clear strap sandals. Obviously, Kim loves her Yeezys:
