Costco loves to quietly take beloved products off shelves, only to surprise shoppers by bringing them back later. Such was the case with the well-loved Cinnamon Pull-Apart rolls which were spotted in warehouses last week; now, shoppers are flocking back to Costco for another item that has been spotted on shelves: the Don Pancho Cilantro Lime Crema. This sour-creme-based sauce typically re-emerges as a seasonal product in the springtime. It is a favorite among many Costco superfans, who have created many recipe dupes to fill the void when the sauce is not in stock. Needless to say, fans are quite happy to see it back. Costco Welcomes Back Fan Favorite Cilantro Lime Crema Sauce For Spring

In a Reddit thread on r/Costco, a user posted a photo of the two-pack announcing that the popular light green sauce is back for fans to purchase. As noted on the bottle, the sauce is the same sauce that Costco uses for their street tacos served in the deli section, which is another favorite meal among Costco-goers. Fans showered the post with excitement and a bit of relief to see the sauce back.

"Grabbed some last week! So happy," wrote a commenter. "Absolutely delicious," added another.

Unfortunately, the sauce does have a reputation for spoiling fast, as fans noted in the Reddit thread. Some fans also wish it just came with one bottle, as it's hard for smaller households to go through two before the expiration date. "I love this but I’ve found it expires way faster than the family can get through 2 bottles," wrote one reply. Another wrote, "Love this! Anyone know if you can freeze it? I won’t go through 2 bottles of it before it expires." Fans provided suggestions: "I freeze the extra bottle without issue." If you don't want to freeze the extra bottle, or can't find a use for it yourself, one Redditor offered another helpful tip: "You can always give one to a friend."

How To Cook With Costco's Cilantro Lime Crema

The sauce can of course be used for tacos, but many fans have also found other ways to incorporate it into their meals. "This is so delicious for topping falafel pockets with the hummus, tabouli, and feta," wrote one commenter. Another provided many suggestions for how to maximize its use: "It's great on roasted vegetables, scrambled eggs, a rice or quinoa bowl with whatever you want to put in your bowl (chicken, beans, cheese, avocado, steak), in a bean and cheese burrito/quesadilla," they said. "I haven't tried it on a veggie sandwich but I think I will. Last week I made a bowl of sauteed mushrooms, spinach, roasted potatoes, and scrambled eggs topped with this. SO good."

Another replied, "Tonight I’ll be adding it to some homemade Crunchwrap supremes. But I honestly would eat it by just dipping chips in it. I really like it! Would be good with any taco/Tex-Mex etc. type of item!" Others noted they also use it as a salad dressing.

Fans across the country are reporting spottings of the sauce to help other Costco shoppers—shoppers have seen it in New Jersey, New York, Indiana, Virginia, Illinois, California, Massachusetts, Washington, California, and Iowa. Looks like we'll see this rollout nationwide!
