Sometimes, grocery shopping while on a weight loss journey can feel impossible, especially in massive stores like Costco.

There are so many items to find and explore at Costco that finding weight-loss-friendly foods can get overwhelming. Therefore, it’s nice to rely on other customers who’ve had successful weight loss journies to help you find what you need to slim down while still enjoying mealtimes.

A weight loss coach named Amber, who is also a famous TikTok creator, recently made a video about some of her favorite Costco finds that she bought for her and her partner. Amber lost 160 pounds from eating in a calorie deficit and working on other healthy lifestyle habits. She has lots of experience shopping for foods at Costco that won’t hinder your progress. Check out nine items from her latest haul below.

Oikos Triple Zero Yogurt Cups

The health and fitness community loves these yogurt cups, as they contain an impressive 15 grams of protein per serving but still taste like delicious, creamy, slightly sweet, flavored Greek yogurt.

If you see the variety pack of these protein-packed yogurts at your local Costco, be sure to grab one fast; as Amber says in her video, she had to "crawl" through the dairy section to grab one of the last boxes.

Blueberry Lemon Twice-Baked Cookies

"If you see these, get them," says Amber as she chews on a mini biscotti cookie from Cooper Street Snacks.

The yummy, crunchy cookies are sold in a variety of flavors at Costco, and each cookie is only 25 calories, meaning you can eat a good handful of them for a low-calorie snack or dessert. Amber mentions there's a cherry flavor she loves as well, so you have options when it comes to these crispy treats.

Grillo's Pickle Chips

Costco sells large packages of the famous pickle brand's products, which is great, as pickles are an excellent weight-loss snack. While they may be a bit high in sodium, they're super flavorful and a good source of fiber. You can put them in a snack box or add them to your favorite sandwiches or lean burgers.

"We're using them on everything, or at least I am," says Amber in her video.

Kirkland Marinara Sauce

Amber says the Costco brand marinara sauce is "really good" and included it in her calorie-deficit-appropriate haul. Marinara sauce is often associated with a big, decadent white pasta dish. However, it can be used in several different weight-loss-friendly meals.

You can add a serving of marinara sauce to some sauteed vegetables, whole grain pasta, some grilled chicken or ground turkey, and more.

Kirkland Creamy Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is sometimes frowned upon by the weight loss community, especially the kind that is made with ingredients other than peanuts and salt. However, Amber still buys peanut butter and loves the two-pack from Kirkland.

"I have been loving peanut butter banana toast for breakfast," she says.

Peanut butter can also be added to high-protein and high-fiber breakfast dishes like Greek yogurt and berries or warm oatmeal.

Dave's 12-Grain Killer Bread

Speaking of her morning toast, Amber enjoys using the 12-grain sliced bread from Dave's Killer Bread. The popular brand makes bread with whole grains and lots of fiber.

"I like a whole grain toast," she adds.

"It's just really crunchy [so] this is what I use for breakfast."

You most certainly do not have to cut out bread when you're trying to lose weight, despite what some health creators may tell you. You just need to pick out a nutritious bread. Amber also mentions that she loves eating sandwiches these days, and the 12-grain bread makes for a great base.

Jones Farm Chicken Sausages

At Costco, Amber selects a large bag of fully-cooked chicken sausages from Jones' Farm.

"These are only 90 calories for three [sausages], and it's 10 grams of protein," she explains.

"They are so good, so [I] highly recommend."

Chicken sausage is a super convenient protein source as you can use it in any meal for any time of day, and it's typically quite versatile while staying lean and high-protein.

Kirkland Lightly Breaded Chicken Chunks

Sometimes, even when you're trying to shed some pounds, you still want some kind of indulgent food like chicken nuggets. Costco sells its own brand of lightly breaded chicken breast chunks and fillets.

"We are obsessed with these," says Amber.

A serving of the chicken breast chunks is 22 pieces for only 140 calories and 16 grams of protein so that you can enjoy them from time to time guilt-free.

Milton's Cauliflower Crust Pizzas

One of the items Amber was the most excited about during her haul was a cauliflower crust pizza by the brand Milton's. She selected the meat lover's variation, but they come in several different flavors.

"These are so good," she says. "They're so crispy, they do not have a funky taste, and the meat lover's is amazing. I'm telling you. I promise you, if you try them, you will not be disappointed."
