Dakota Johnson was one of our favorite red carpet stars last year. She served one stunning Gucci look after another to promote her latest film, The Lost Daughter. Dakota is one of the rare celebs to forgo social media in favor of privacy, so don’t expect to ever see her posting selfies on Instagram.
But the brunette beauty was recently spotted on the beach while on vacation, and when we saw the black bikini she was wearing, our jaws dropped to the floor!

Dakota recently enjoyed a relaxing vacay with her longtime boyfriend and Coldplay front man, Chris Martin. Dakota soaked up the sun in Mexico and enjoyed a dip in the ocean while wearing a very skimpy black bikini. The 32-year-old showed off her curves in this simple and chic two-piece and while other celebs are taking the less-is-more approach with the ‘floss’ bikini trend—we liked that Dakota is keeping it slightly more classic, classy and yet still sexy two-piece. She was also photographed covering up in a blue linen button-up shirt for a perfectly relaxed look. Last month, Dakota opened up to Elle about her relationship with Chris, saying: “We’ve been together for quite a while, and we go out sometimes, but we both work so much that it’s nice to be at home and be cozy and private…Most of the partying takes place inside my house.”
Based on Dakota’s premiere looks last year alone, we can’t wait to see what she wears on the red carpet for the upcoming awards season. If we had to guess, we would bet it’s going to include plenty of Gucci. Johnson stepped out in several stunning Gucci looks last year—including a super sexy lace corset and a crystal crop top. She also stunned in a slinky black halter dress by Schiaparelli for the annual Gotham Awards in New York. We’re still obsessed with all of those looks and can’t wait to see what she has in store this year.
