The 61-year-old made her grand return to Cannes after 27 years and took to Instagram to reflect on hosting the gala for the second time, with her first experience dating back to 1997.
"Remembering the one and only Elizabeth Taylor today. 27 years ago I hosted the @amfAR Gala in Cannes on her behalf, and I’m honored to be hosting again tonight. Here we are at the CFDA Awards, where I got to present her with the well-deserved Lifetime Glamour award," she wrote.
Her fans have been treated to some fabulous looks so far at the festival, and they made sure to express their appreciation in the Instagram comments section after she posted her stunning white ensemble.

As a successful A-lister, the Ghost icon revealed to Entertainment Weekly that she had considered stepping away from acting altogether before joining The Substance cast.
The Substance premiered at this year's event and received an 11-minute standing ovation, making it hard to imagine why Moore ever questioned her place in Hollywood.
"It’s not like I ever officially left, but I understand the sentiment and appreciate it because there hasn’t been a project or a role that has come along that has been this dynamic for me to really dive into and sink my teeth into,” said the mother of three. "I went through a period of even questioning whether this is what I should still be doing. In the last four years or so, I felt that it was a personal question that I wanted to explore and see. Was this where I should be putting my energy? When you plant seeds, you wait to see what grows."
She also talked about the connection she felt with the role she played in The Substance. The film is about a fading celebrity who opts to use a black market drug—a substance that temporarily transforms her into a younger, improved version of herself.
"Like the film, it doesn't matter what's going on outside of you, it has to do with what's going on inside of you," Moore said. “Dealing with aging, feeling rejection, and also that external seeking of validation. There were aspects of it that I feel we’ve all had moments with. The setting gives it a heightened perspective and helps to punctuate the issues, because, as for any of us, when you’re put out there to allow yourself to be criticized, it takes on a bigger life."
