The ageless The Substance actress joined a host of other A-listers at Glamour’s annual Women of the Year celebration, held at The Plaza Hotel in New York City on Tuesday, November 4th.
For the star-studded, glitzy occasion, the Landman actress rocked a two-piece ensemble designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli for Balenciaga's Spring 2026 collection. The outfit consisted of a structured strapless black top with an exaggerated crescent-shaped neckline that curved outward around her chest, giving a sculptural, avant-garde feel. She paired it with sharply tailored black trousers that tapered at the ankle, and she accessorized with dramatic white opera gloves.
The A Few Good Men alum wore her signature dark, glossy locks in a wavy ponytail, which perfectly showed off her dazzling statement earrings, and finished off with a classic bold red lip. She chose to leave her neck bare and forgo other jewelry, as the outfit was enough to make a statement. But sadly, it wasn't the right sort of statement…
Negative Fan Comments
Many fans took issue with the way the outfit fit the Ghost alum, with one Reddit user saying: "It's so ill-fitting and imo just makes her look…severe."
"The pants being altered better would have this look amazing," thought a second, as a third said: "It takes a lot to make Demi look this mediocre, yet Balenciaga came through. The same fan added: "This looks so ill-fitting on her and does absolutely nothing for her shape at all."
"It's really odd I'm sorry. She's done so many good looks recently and this is not it. I hate it," slammed a fourth. "This was a rare Demi miss for me," criticized a fifth, adding: "The top with the folded bottom flap kinda looks like a waitress wearing an apron tbh and the pants don't seem like they've been tailored to her at all, there seems to be a lot more loose fabric on the pants compared to on the model."
And the negative comments kept coming. "Girl?" questioned a sixth, as a seventh asked: "Did her #1 hater dress her?" "Horrible outfit – on Demi and the model," declared an eighth. "Looks clownish, and the red lip isn't helping," thought a ninth, as a tenth simply and bluntly said: "I hate all of it."
