Around this time of year, it’s common for people to start thinking about their health goals, and that often comes with a new restock of certain groceries.

Now that 2026 is officially upon us, there are a lot of people out in the world who are going to be setting some new year’s weight loss goals. When grocery shopping for some new foods to stock your pantry, you might want to hit popular stores like Target, which actually has some decent finds for slimming down safely. You just have to know what to look for. Courtney Kassis, a dietitian and content creator, made an Instagram reel about some of her favorite “healthy” Target groceries. Read more about four of them below.

1. Good & Gather Organic Creamy Peanut Butter

The Target grocery brand, Good & Gather, is often underrated, and they carry a certain number of items that can help you on your mission to better health. One of her first grocery selections was the Good & Gather Organic Peanut Butter, which is made from only organic roasted peanuts.

Courtney notes that this specific type of peanut butter is an excellent find compared to some other larger named brands, and describes the ingredients as "natural" and a "10/10" in her video.

2. Primal Kitchen Caesar Dressing

One of the most popular salad dressing brands in the health and wellness community is Primal Kitchen, who make its products from wholesome ingredients, avoiding seed oils and added sugar whenever possible.

The dietitian is a fan of Primal Kitchen's Caesar salad dressing and marinade, which is made from avocado oil. For some people, it's not super accessible, but its being sold at Target is a significant perk for those looking to grocery shop in a healthier way.

3. Good & Gather Protein Bars

If you're a big fan of the simple and wholesome ingredients located in the famous Rx bars, which are primarily made from egg whites and dates, but don't often buy them because of the price, well, you're in luck.

Good & Gather sells protein bars that are "just like Rx bars," according to Courtney. They have a cashew butter chocolate flavor, but she notes that she "loves" every flavor of them, from blueberry to chocolate.

4. Siete Potato Chips

Siete is a popular brand in the wellness community, as they began making tortillas and tortilla chips out of very simple ingredients, and even crafted many famous grain-free products.

Now, the brand sells potato chips of all flavors, and Courtney selects their dairy-free fuego chips, chipotle BBQ flavors, serrano sea salt, and more. She noted that she enjoys how they're made with "simple" ingredients.
