Donald Trump has made his affections for White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt known, having called her “beautiful” and describing her lips as moving “like a machine gun.” While comments like these have certainly raised eyebrows, none have been as questionable as the recent joke he made about “grabbing” her during a recent turbulent plane ride. Keep reading for more information.
Donald Trump Makes Joke About 'Grabbing' Karoline Leavitt
Trump was speaking with reporters aboard Air Force One earlier this month when he was questioned about his plans for Venezuela following the administration's capture of Nicolás Maduro, the Venezuelan president, and whether he planned to meet with the opposition's leader, María Corina Machado.
Rather than responding, Trump looked around at his surroundings and said, "I'm looking for something to grab here...it's going to get rough."
"I think you did this to me," he said, referencing the group of reporters. "You've put me in a position where there's absolutely nothing to grab. I'm looking for something to grab and it's not going to be Karoline," he said, as the 28-year-old press secretary stood behind him. Social media was quick to label this comment as "odd" and "unnecessary."

Trump's Interest In Karoline Leavitt
This is certainly not the first time Trump has made concerning comments about Karoline Leavitt. Trump was supposed to be giving a speech about the economy back in December when instead his focus turned to 28-year-old Karoline Leavitt's physical appearance. "We even brought our superstar today, Karoline," Trump said. "Isn't she great? Is Karoline great? You know, when she goes on television, Fox, like, I mean, they dominate, they dominate when she gets up there with that beautiful face."
"And those lips that don't stop," he continued. "Pop-pop-pop like a little machine gun. She's got no fear, and you know why she has no fear? Because we have the right policy." Predictably, this has drawn a lot of backlash.
