The Superbad star was recently photographed behind the scenes on the set of his upcoming comedy film, Cut Off. For his character, he was wearing a short, shaggy blonde wig and some baggy clothes that looked like nothing you would catch him wearing in real life. In addition to the unusual wardrobe, his weight loss, which he’s been working on over the last decade, has progressed, and he’s slimmed down quite a lot, leading to fans thinking he looks unrecognizable. Jonah Hill Is Photographed In A Blonde Wig & Baggy Clothes On Set For 'Cut Off'
The comedic actor is making a comeback not just as the star of a new funny film, but also as a director and co-writer. He'll star alongside Saturday Night Live star Kristen Wiig as they reportedly play wealthy siblings who suddenly get cut off from their financial support.
Many fans are excited for the film, for both actors' returns to the silver screens, and they're especially curious to see it, given Jonah has been photographed looking like an entirely different person on set. He was photographed a few times last year, but more recently, about two weeks ago, he was papped once again, filming a scene on the streets of Los Angeles.
The 42-year-old was photographed wearing a shaggy blonde wig with side-swept bangs, a totally different look from his usual light brown, famously curly hair. His outfit was seemingly meant to look extra obnoxious for his character, as he had on some bedazzled, light-wash jeans and a graphic t-shirt with both an American flag print and flames. Even though the 21 Jump Street star was clearly dressed as a character and was in costume, fans and other internet users still couldn't get over the transformation he made. Not only was there the matter of his outfit, but fans are also still bringing up his drastic weight loss. He began making noticeable progress around 2011, when he lost 40 pounds for a role, but has since asked that the public and reporters stop asking him about it, as the comments on his body were getting to be too much for him.
However, when the new photos from the Cut Off set were shared on platforms like Instagram, fans and users fled to the comments section.
"You can't even recognize him," wrote a user.
