Donald Trump Says Congressman Neal Dunn Will 'Be Dead By June' In A Viral Interview Clip

The 79-year-old businessman turned president has built up a reputation for not holding back on certain matters, often sharing his bold opinions and comments at the drop of a hat, whether that be in a public space or online.

This time around, his comments were related to a fellow politician, Republican U.S. Representative Neal Dunn, who has been serving Florida's 2nd district since 2017. Earlier this month, the president sat down for a press interview alongside House Speaker Mike Johnson and other members of the Kennedy Center board to discuss various matters related to the administration, when Dunn's health was brought up.

Reportedly, though it had gradually become clear that the congressman wasn't well, Trump and Johnson ended up being the first ones to leak his diagnosis abruptly and more in a public setting.

"Congressman Neal Dunn of Florida had some real health challenges, and it was very serious and had a pretty grim diagnosis," explained Johnson before calling the representative a "champion" for continuing to work.

After the House Speaker mentioned Dunn's illness was "terminal," Trump responded, "He would be dead by June."

The Internet Responds To Trump's Statement On Dunn's Illness

After the president blurted out this comment about the congressman potentially dying by June, Johnson became visibly uncomfortable, revealing, "That wasn't public. But yeah, OK. It was grim, that's what I was going to say."

In viral footage from the broadcast, the Apprentice star continued to share details about the 73-year-old congressman's health that had not yet been given publicly. Afterward, he received a tremendous amount of backlash online, with social media users commenting on the 'invasive' behavior.

"How on earth is this okay?!" commented an Instagram user. "Why are more people of authority not outraged & trying to do something to fix this mess?"

"To deliver that information in those words with no permission to share is appalling and also classic Trump," wrote another.

"He is just so revolting," commented a user, as another added, "The man is a blunt instrument. Empathy is not his strong suit."

"Can we get your diagnosis?" fired back a user.
