You should focus on what you drink in the morning on top of preparing a healthy breakfast. Luckily, you can turn to smoothies for a quick meal or as a supplement to your hot dish. There is one type of smoothie you should drink in the morning to get rid of belly fat, according to a dietitian.

Wahida Karmally, RD, tells Time that dark green vegetables, such as kale, are powerhouses of nutrients. Carly Dolan, NT, further expands on this point. Carly says that kale helps you to lose weight because it makes you full without too many calories or fats, and the fiber contained in kale helps keep your digestive system on track. That's why a kale smoothie is an excellent choice in the morning.

Blendtec recommends a kale, pineapple, and almond-milk smoothie for a nutritional breakfast. All you need is: 

 

1 cup unsweetened almond milk 
½ cup pineapple juice
1 cup chopped kale 
½ cup fresh diced pineapple 
1 banana

 

And you'll be sure to see belly fat disappearing fast!

You can also carry kale into your lunchtime. One lunch filled with superfoods is a kale and quinoa salad. In addition to kale, quinoa also helps with weight loss. According to Fitday, quinoa is a great option for a weight loss lunch since the grain is both low on the glycemic index and low in calories.

Of course making a kale smoothie is one of the easiest ways to remember to sneak the vegetable into your diet. For your own convenience, you can always prepare a kale smoothie at night so you have a fresh smoothie up for grabs in your fridge the next morning.
