Dua Lipa floated along the red carpet in a romantic, figure-hugging red gown at the 29th Critics Choice Awards, which took place at Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 14th. The 28-year-old musician attended the awards due to her song “Dance the Night” from Barbie being nominated in the Best Song category, and of course for her cameo as Mermaid Barbie in the Greta Gerwig movie.
Barbie received a super-impressive 18 Critics Choice nominations – the most any film has received in the history of the Critics Choice Awards. But while Barbie didn’t win all of the awards, it certainly did very well on the night, taking home awards in the Best Production Design, Best Original Screenplay, Best Costume Design, Best Comedy, and Best Hair and Makeup categories. America Ferrera also won the Seeher Award, while the insanely catchy “I’m Just Ken” performed by Ryan Gosling in the movie won the Best Song award.

But the real winner was Dua Lipa, who once again made jaws drop with her red carpet appearance. The "Levitating" singer wore a strapless figure-hugging Prada floor-length gown, in a deep and seductive red color that complemented her red hair perfectly. We love how both she and Margot Robbie switched things up and ditched the predictable Barbiecore pink colors and wore red instead!
The dress was a work of art thanks to its intricate floral design. The "Sweetest Pie" singer left her neck bare, and accessorized with some dazzling Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. earrings, which were visible thanks to her gorgeous red hair being worn in a half up and half down do.
