When Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced that he tested positive for coronavirus in September, he updated his followers over Instagram, encouraging them to stay home and stay safe. Posting a video to his page, Johnson, 48, did not downplay his experience with the virus, calling it “one of the most challenging and difficult things” he and his family have ever faced.
Luckily, they have not suffered any longterm consequences from the virus. He assured fans, “I am happy to tell you guys that we as a family are good. We are on the other end of it. We are on the other side. We are no longer contagious. And we are — thank god — we are healthy.”

At the time, his surprising announcement was met with many well wishes from fans and celebrity friends alike. Since then, any updates on the actor’s health have been few and far between. However, during an Extra interview to promote his new NBC series “Young Rock,” the star gave a rare glimpse into his current health status. And it’s good news: the Rock confirmed that he and his family are still feeling well after recovering from the virus.
He told the interviewer, “I’m feeling good and the family has fully recovered. That was a pretty hairy time for us where you realized just how insidious that virus is. My entire family got it. Everyone around us got it. And so I was just doing my best to try and manage it best I could. But thank you for asking. We’re feeling good and on the other end of it.”
