Ellen DeGeneres‘ ex, Anne Heche, is opening up about their relationship, and some of the details will definitely surprise you. In a recent TikTok, Heche rated some of her past red carpet looks, and gave one of them a 0/10 for the most shocking reason.
The photo, taken at the 1998 Golden Globes, shows Heche and DeGeneres posing together on the red carpet. Although they look perfectly happy, Heche has a sour memory of the moment. And it’s bad enough that commenters have started labeling DeGeneres as a “controlling partner.”

For the event, Heche wore a navy blue gown and a velvet duster over it – adding up to one very unique look. Years later, Heche still isn’t a fan of the outfit. “Why do I look like a hippie?” Heche asked before explaining, “It’s because Ellen didn’t want me to dress sexy.” Wait, what?
Heche then gave the overall look a 0/10 and a clear thumbs down, adding, “Ah, bye. No!”

Although Heche did not go into any more details in the video, she liked a few telling comments from fans. One read, "Thumbs down for the controlling partner."
She liked another saying, "Baby, we are allll waiting for the tea!!!"
Although the details about their past relationship are few and far between, Heche has opened up more about their romance recently. During an ET interview last October, Heche explained the reason behind their split.
"With relationships, I think many of us have [been there], you come to a fork in the road, 'What do you want and what do I want?' Those goals, that intent in life, is determined by the individual. Her intent and my intent were different and that’s why we separated."
Although that does not sound like an overly dramatic breakup, this most recent TikTok points to a slightly more contentious relationship. Not to mention, Heche has said before that she has not "spoken [to Ellen] in years!"
