Elon Musk is now a father of 10 as he secretly welcomed twins in November 2021.
According to an article by People and as published by Insider, court documents reveal that in November of last year, the 51-year-old billionaire fathered twins with Neuralink project director Shivon Zilis. (In case you didn’t know, Neuralink is “the futuristic brain microchip company also co-founded by Musk.”)
Legal documents have shown that the Tesla CEO and Neuralink executive “asked a Texan county court to change their babies’ names so they would ‘have their father’s last name and contain their mother’s last name as part of their middle name.'” As of this writing, the names and sexes of the twins remain unknown to the public.
Zilis gave birth to the twins in November, which was just a few weeks before Musk and Canadian musician Grimes welcomed their daughter via surrogate in December. Musk and Grimes were first romantically linked in May 2018. After three years of dating, the two called it quits in September 2021.
Prior to the birth of his twins, Musk was already a father to eight children and has been married three times. People notes, “He shares 18-year-old twins Vivian Jenna Wilson and Griffin Musk, along with triplets Kai, Damian, and Sax Musk, who were born in 2006, with his first wife, Justine Wilson. The two had another son, Nevada Musk, who died at 10 weeks.”
