Billie Eilish Calls Elon Musk A 'Coward' On Social Media
The Grammy award-winning singer has had a big year with her impressive tour and additional award nominations, but she's also been turning heads with some of her more political and opinionated comments that were made over the last few months.
At the end of October, Billie appeared at the Wall Street Journal's Innovator Awards, where she not only revealed that she was donating a large sum of money to charity, but also made a speech calling out billionaires in the room and across the country, encouraging them to "give their money away," stating, "I'd say if you have money, it would be great to use it for good things, maybe give it to some people that need it."
After making her speech, despite receiving some backlash, the singer continued to speak out, standing her ground, and even shading Elon Musk, who was declared the richest man in the world this year. On November 13th, she shared an Instagram post on her story about the trillionaire, a post that took his net worth and pointed out all of the humanitarian aid he could provide with it. Along with the post, Billie chimed in with some insults, calling Elon a "coward" and "pathetic."
Elon Musk Responds To Billie's Comments In A New Interview
While there weren't many billionaires who responded to the "Birds Of A Feather" singer's speech at the Innovator Awards, days after she posted her Instagram story, the Tesla icon responded to her comments in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, before he took it over.
The tech mogul replied directly to what Billie had said about him and responded, "She's not the sharpest tool in the shed."
On the platform, numerous internet users were divided by his response, with some of his fans backing him up, and many of her supporters echoing her message.
"You are not the sharpest tool in the shed, either, honey," responded a user.
"If only you put this much energy into real-world problems," added another.
